WHY ARE WE SERVING GOD?
This is a question for us to answer within our heart.
It's a personal responsibility not collective responsibility. It means, individual has answer to the question.
Categories of people's purpose of serving God.
To perform Miracles: Act 5:15 - 16 "Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one."
Some people serve God, for Him to perform miracles in their lives both spiritual and physical illness. These type of people only obey God because of what to receive from Him and they can easily backslide or compromise when the Lord fails to give them what they desire ( Even though the Lord never fail but, He does things opposite to humans thought ). That is why we could see many people in the category, attends Revivals, Open air crusade than Bible study because, of their motive of serving God. They never want to have knowledge about the Lord that performs the miracles. Which is Very bad.
FOR RELIGION: "Matt.15.9 - But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Matt.15.10 - And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand"
people in this category serve God because, of what they are taught not, what they understand about God. There are many religion like that in this world but, in Christianity, people like this serve God because of the posts to attain when they are well educated about the religion. That's why we could see many churches without vision of Gospel but their own vision.
These people can kill or die for what they are taught and they can easily backslide when they see their teachers do opposite of what they teaches. Because, they only emulate their teachers.
FOR SALVATION:
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Serving God for Salvation is the best thing. People in this category Serve's God, because, He is God. They sees God as the only one to serve and His supremacy over everything on earth and in heaven. They serve not for miracles, or knowledge and post to attain but, for Salvation which is the Kingdom of God.
In conclusion, Satan can perform miracles in disguise as angel of light. 2Cor.11.14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Cor.11.15 - Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. Serving God for Salvation brings
miracles and it will reflect in our lifestyles.
SATANPERFORM MIRACLES
SATAN GIVES RELIGION, BUT,
SATAN NEVER GIVES SALVATION.
Let serve God for the best, because Salvation is the source of miracles and a good religion. Without it our services are not acceptable before God. In Christianity, you are only to emulate Jesus Christ the only one that never fail.
